Rajshree Sugars & Chemicals Limited-Unit III is an integrated green field sugar complex with Sugar, Cogeneration and Distillery unit. The unit is located in Semmedu village, Gingee Taluk, Villupuram district.
The Sugar plant was commissioned in the year 2009 with a crushing capacity of 3500 tonnes per day. A complete Automation system was introduced in the sugar plant during the sugar year 2010-11 and the entire plant is being operated through DCS. In the year 2014 the capacity of the Gingee plant expanded to 4000 TCD.
A 20.5 MW Co-generation Plant was installed and commissioned during 2009. The plant produces 20.5 MW of which 6 MW is used for captive consumption and the balance surplus power is exported to the state TNEB grid. The Semmedu Cogeneration Plant is the first Unit to introduce 110 ata high pressure Boiler for the first time in the Indian sugar industry.
The most modernized 80 KLPD zero effluent discharge state-of-art Distillery plant was launched during April 2012 with 30 Tons Incineration boiler and 3MW Power Plant. The entire spent wash generated from the distillery is being burnt in the boiler to steam and power. A condensate treatment plant has been commissioned for effective treatment of the condensate and 100 % of the treated water is being recycled back to process hence conserving the fresh water.
A 30 tons per day Co2 plant was commissioned during Aug 2014.
